MSc. Dt. Hakkı Serdar Ünal is a dentist with a Master of Science in Oral Implantology and Co-Founder of Soho Dental Clinic – All-on-X & Dental Implant Center in Nişantaşı, Istanbul. With more than 15 years of clinical experience, his practice includes more than 10,000 dental implants placed and over 500 full-arch rehabilitation patients treated.
He graduated from Dicle University Faculty of Dentistry in 2012 and began his career at Dentestetik Dental Clinic, continuing a family tradition in dentistry under the mentorship of his father. Between 2012 and 2020 he worked at Dentestetik in Osmaniye, and from 2013 onward he continued his clinical work in Istanbul, with an increasing focus on oral implantology, implant-supported restorations, zirconia restorations and full-mouth rehabilitation.
Between 2016 and 2017 he completed a Master of Science in Oral Implantology at the University of Rome / Istituto Stomatologico Toscano in Italy, strengthening his focus on implant surgery, treatment planning and implant-supported rehabilitation. Since 2013 he has worked with international patients travelling to Turkey for implant treatment and full-mouth rehabilitation.
His clinical philosophy is based on ethical treatment planning, patient safety and preserving natural teeth whenever possible. He believes treatment should only be recommended when there is a real clinical need — and that healthy natural teeth should not be reduced simply because a cosmetic treatment is popular.

Every patient and every case is unique. Treatment planning should begin with understanding the real clinical problem, protecting existing oral health and preserving natural teeth whenever possible. The first responsibility of the clinician is to identify what truly needs to be treated — when there is no real clinical need, no treatment should be proposed.
For this reason, MSc. Dt. Ünal does not support unnecessary treatment planning and is especially cautious about reducing healthy natural teeth for crowns or veneers only because a cosmetic trend is popular. In full-mouth implant rehabilitation, he evaluates implant positioning, bone structure, prosthetic design, bite relationship, chewing function, speech, facial support and long-term maintenance together.
For international patients travelling to Istanbul, his approach is based on ethical planning, clear communication, realistic expectations and trust — patients should understand why a treatment is recommended, what the alternatives are, and what is required for long-term success.
Soho Dental Clinic – All-on-X & Dental Implant Center was founded in 2021 to provide a more responsible, doctor-led and patient-centered approach to dental tourism in Turkey.
The clinic was created by three clinicians who wanted to offer advanced dental treatment without unnecessary procedures or aggressive commercial pressure. The goal is to recommend the treatment that is truly right for the patient, not the treatment that is easiest to sell.
