Soho Dental Clinic is a doctor-owned clinic in Nişantaşı, Istanbul, focused on All-on-X treatment concepts, full-arch implant rehabilitation, advanced implant surgery and revision implant cases. Our three doctor-founders stay directly involved in clinical evaluation and treatment planning. This page sets out how treatment works if you are flying in for it — how your plan is prepared before you travel, what happens across the two visits, what the coordinator arranges around your flights, and what support continues after you fly home.
Your Treatment Journey
Four stages, from the first message you send us to the check-ups after you are back home. Each stage says how long it takes and who does what, so you can see where your own case is at any point.
Before the journey starts: more than choosing a price
It is natural to compare treatment fees between clinics. But a lower quotation can mean a genuinely efficient plan — or it can mean a different implant system, a different restorative material, a different laboratory, a different level of doctor involvement, or procedures that have simply not been included yet. Before comparing two treatment plans, make sure you are comparing the same treatment. Five things worth asking any clinic, including us.

Ask exactly which implant will be used
Descriptions such as “Swiss implant”, “German implant” or “premium implant” do not identify a product. Ask for the exact implant brand and the exact implant system, and ask to see both written into your treatment plan rather than described over the phone.
At Soho Dental Clinic the implant brand selected for your case is stated in your treatment plan, and you receive implant identification information and an implant passport after treatment — so any dentist, anywhere, can identify what is in your jaw years later.

Look at the doctors, not only the clinic
Full-arch implant rehabilitation is not a product you pick off a price list. It is a clinical judgement, and the person making it matters more than the logo on the building. Ask:
- Who will evaluate my X-ray?
- Who will perform my surgery?
- What is that doctor's education and clinical background?
- Does the doctor routinely treat full-mouth implant cases?
- Does the clinic have experience with complications and revision cases?
- Who will design and manage my final prosthetic rehabilitation?

Ask whether your natural teeth really need to be removed
Removing teeth is irreversible. Before recommending extraction and implants, the first question should be whether a tooth can reasonably be preserved.
If a tooth has a realistic long-term prognosis, keeping it may be preferable to removing it in order to build a larger implant package. Full-mouth rehabilitation should follow a genuine clinical indication — not the fact that All-on-4 or All-on-6 is easier to sell.

Understand the materials
The quality of full-mouth treatment involves far more than the implant fixture. Ask what is actually included, and which materials are used for each part:
- Implant fixtures and multi-unit abutments
- Prosthetic components
- Temporary teeth
- Final restorative materials
- Bone grafting materials and membranes
- Laboratory production and digital planning

Do not judge a clinic by review count alone
Reviews are useful, but volume by itself proves nothing — an unusually large number of near-perfect reviews does not make one clinic more trustworthy than another. What is worth reading:
- Whether reviews describe specific treatments rather than generic praise
- Whether patients explain their treatment journey
- Whether reviews exist across independent platforms
- Whether there are detailed video testimonials
- Whether patients discuss recovery and aftercare, not only the first impression
- Whether difficult experiences receive professional responses
- Whether reviews appear naturally over a realistic period of time

How the treatment journey works

Online assessment and written plan
Before you travel · 24 hours
You send photographs of your teeth and, if you have one, a recent panoramic X-ray, by WhatsApp or email. For implant cases we also ask for a CBCT scan if you already have one, information about any previous dental implants, relevant medical history, current medications, and what you want the result to be. A dentist reviews all of it and you receive a written treatment plan and a quote within 24 hours, at no charge and with no obligation.
That review is looking for specific things: which teeth can be preserved, which have a poor prognosis, how much bone is available, the condition of any existing implants, signs of infection or periodontal disease, whether grafting or sinus surgery may be required, and whether All-on-4, All-on-6 or another All-on-X approach fits your case.
What we send back is a working plan, not a diagnosis. Photographs and a panoramic X-ray show us what is likely; they cannot show bone volume in three dimensions. The plan is confirmed in Istanbul.

Dates agreed, then flights booked

Surgical time and a CBCT appointment are reserved specifically for you, so treatment dates are agreed before you book flights. Once your dates are fixed, your coordinator works backwards from your arrival time to arrange the rest.
What you have at this point is still a preliminary plan. It stays preliminary until your clinical examination and CBCT evaluation in Istanbul, and we would rather say that plainly than promise a treatment that has not been clinically confirmed.
Costs are disclosed in writing before you travel. If your plan changes after the examination in Istanbul, the revised plan and its cost are put in writing again before any treatment starts.

Arrival, examination and treatment

VIP airport ↔ hotel transfers are arranged for you, with hotel accommodation according to package conditions. Your first clinic appointment is a CBCT assessment and an examination with your surgeon — that is what confirms the right treatment for you, not the photographs you sent from home.
After that examination the doctors confirm or revise the plan according to what they actually find, and treatment begins only once the plan has been explained in full and agreed with you. For full-arch implant cases, patients return to their country with a fixed set of temporary teeth in 3 days.

Home, healing and the second visit
After you fly home · 3 months or longer
You leave with written aftercare instructions and a direct WhatsApp line to the clinic, so questions during healing go straight to the people who treated you. For implant patients, the second visit for the permanent teeth is planned before you fly home.
Healing time is decided by your case, not by a calendar. Your surgeon tells you the expected window at discharge and confirms it before you book the return flight.

The assessment that happens before you spend anything on flights. It costs nothing, commits you to nothing, and gives you a written plan you can compare with any other clinic — and, where it helps, a conversation with the doctor who would treat you.
What to send us
- Photographs of your teeth — front view smiling, upper arch and lower arch. A phone camera in daylight is enough.
- A panoramic X-ray (OPG) if you have had one taken in the last 12 months. If you do not have one, send the photographs anyway.
- A short note on what bothers you, any previous dental work, and medical conditions or medication that affect healing.
- The rough dates you could travel, so we can tell you what is available.
What you receive
- A written treatment plan describing the proposed treatment and the number of visits it needs.
- An itemised quote, with the implant or ceramic brand stated where it applies.
- An estimate of how many days you would need to be in Istanbul for each visit.
- A named coordinator you can reply to directly, in English, on WhatsApp or by email.
Meet the clinical team before you travel
You should not have to fly thousands of kilometres before you can speak to someone who understands your case clinically. After your X-rays and photographs have been reviewed, an online consultation with the treating doctor can be arranged where it is appropriate.
It is most useful for All-on-X, All-on-4 and All-on-6 cases, full-mouth rehabilitation, zygomatic implants, advanced bone-loss cases, implant revision treatment, and cases where previous dental work has failed.
What you can ask the doctor
- Why this treatment has been proposed, and what the alternatives are
- Which teeth may be saved and which may need extraction
- The expected number of implants, and the implant options
- Bone-loss considerations, and any grafting or sinus procedure
- Temporary teeth, healing time and the final teeth
- The risks and the limitations — including what could change
What the online assessment cannot do. Photographs and a panoramic X-ray are two-dimensional. They cannot measure bone height, bone width or the position of the sinus and nerve. Your plan may still change after clinical examination, CBCT evaluation, periodontal examination, bite assessment, bone-quality assessment and evaluation of any existing restorations or implants. A CBCT scan at the clinic accompanied by a comprehensive examination with your surgeon will decide the final treatment plan, including whether bone grafting is needed — that depends on the case. We would rather set that out before you travel than promise a treatment that has not yet been clinically confirmed.

First & Second Visit
Implant treatment is done in two trips, separated by a healing period. This is not a scheduling preference — bone needs time to integrate with the implant before it can carry the load of permanent teeth.

Why two visits
An implant is a screw placed in bone. Over the following months the bone grows onto its surface and locks it in place — osseointegration. Permanent teeth are made and fitted only after that has happened, because loading an implant too early risks losing it.
Between the visits you are not without teeth. Patients return to their country with a fixed set of temporary teeth in 3 days, and those stay in place throughout the healing period.
The second visit is not simply about fitting teeth. The final restoration has to carry chewing, speech, facial support, bite stability, hygiene access, natural appearance and long-term maintenance — which is why it needs enough clinical time for try-ins, adjustments and careful finalisation.
If you cannot travel twice
Tell your coordinator at the assessment stage. Some treatments — crowns, veneers, and certain restorative work — are completed within a single visit. For implant cases, the timing of the second visit can be planned around your schedule within the window your surgeon gives you.
What we will not do is compress the healing period to fit a travel plan. The plan is set by the case.
On temporary teeth after surgery. Whether fixed temporary teeth can be fitted depends on primary implant stability, bone quality, implant distribution and your bite. Those conditions can only be confirmed during surgery, so no clinic should promise them beforehand — including us. If your case does not allow it, your surgeon explains the alternative before treatment starts.
Hotel & Airport Transfers
Your coordinator arranges the logistics around your treatment dates. What is included depends on your package, and it is written into your plan before you travel rather than described in general terms.
Transfers
VIP airport ↔ hotel transfers are arranged for you. Send your flight numbers and arrival times to your coordinator once your tickets are booked, and the driver is scheduled to match them. Eligible packages cover:
- Istanbul Airport (IST) pickup
- Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) pickup
- Transfer to your hotel
- Return airport transfer after treatment
Istanbul has two airports. The clinic is in Nişantaşı, Şişli — roughly 40 minutes from Istanbul Airport and around an hour from Sabiha Gökçen, depending on traffic. Tell us which one you are flying into.
Routine daily transport around Istanbul and private city transfers are not automatically included unless your package states them.
Hotel accommodation
Hotel accommodation is provided according to package conditions — it is not included by default. Packages from €7,000 include a stated hotel item, currently 7 nights with bed and breakfast, at hotels a few minutes' walk from the clinic. Breakfast is covered; other meals are not. A companion can share the same room where the confirmed package allows it.
If your treatment falls outside those packages, your coordinator will recommend hotels near the clinic at a range of prices and can hold a room for your dates. You book and pay for it directly.

Confirm your dates before buying non-refundable tickets. Check your treatment dates with the international patient team first, and leave enough time after surgery for post-operative checks before you fly home. Staying in Nişantaşı helps here: the clinic sits in a central residential and shopping district, so hotels, pharmacies and restaurants are within walking distance of your appointments. That matters more than it sounds in the days after surgery, when a short walk back to your room beats a cross-city taxi.
Warranty & Aftercare
Treatment does not end when you board the plane. Healing happens at home, which is where most questions come up — so the line back to the clinic stays open.
The first weeks at home
You fly home with written aftercare instructions covering surgical recovery, medication, oral hygiene, diet, looking after temporary teeth, implant maintenance, your final restorations, follow-up — and the warning signs that need attention rather than waiting.
You also have a direct WhatsApp line to the clinic. Send a photograph if something concerns you — that is usually faster than describing it, and it reaches the team who treated you rather than a call centre.
Check-ups and maintenance
Implants need the same maintenance as natural teeth: daily cleaning and regular professional check-ups. If your dentist at home carries out those check-ups, we will share your treatment records with them on request.
Your surgeon gives you a maintenance schedule when the permanent teeth are fitted. Keeping to it is what protects the result over the long term.
The records you take home
Depending on the treatment carried out, your documentation includes treatment records, implant information, an implant passport, aftercare instructions, prosthetic information and your warranty conditions.
The implant passport is the part patients tend to overlook and later need most: it identifies the exact system in your jaw, so a dentist anywhere in the world can order a matching component years from now without guesswork.
Warranty
The warranty that applies to your treatment — what it covers, for how long, and the conditions attached to it — is stated in your written treatment plan. Ask your coordinator for those terms before treatment starts if they are not clear. Terms vary with the treatment and the materials used, which is why they are set out per case rather than as a single site-wide promise.
A warranty should never be presented as though biological complications were impossible. Long-term implant and prosthetic success also depends on oral hygiene, regular maintenance, smoking, gum health, bruxism or heavy bite forces, medical conditions, trauma, following post-operative instructions, and attending the examinations you are advised to attend.
If something goes wrong
Contact the clinic first, before any treatment elsewhere. We can review photographs, X-rays and clinical information remotely and bring in the doctor who treated you. Some situations are handled remotely or with a local dentist; others need a visit back to the clinic. We will tell you which one you are in.
Implants can fail, in any clinic and in any country. How that is handled in your case is covered by the warranty terms in your plan.
Health Tourism Authorization
Soho Dental Clinic is authorised by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health for international health tourism services, and is registered with HealthTürkiye.
Clinics treating international patients in Türkiye are required to hold this authorisation. It is worth asking any clinic you are considering to show theirs — ours is published here rather than described.

Why authorisation matters
Advanced dental treatment involves surgical procedures, prescription medication, radiographic imaging, sterilisation, medical records, informed consent and post-operative care. International health tourism is a regulated healthcare activity, not a travel or cosmetic service, and the facility itself has to be authorised for it.
That said, authorisation only confirms that a provider operates within the regulatory framework. It does not tell you which treatment is right for you, and it does not guarantee a clinical result. Judge the doctors, their experience with your procedure, how the case is planned, whether materials are disclosed, and what aftercare exists — then check the authorisation as well.

Take this list to every clinic you are considering, ours included. A clinic that answers all of it in writing is one you can compare properly; a clinic that will not is telling you something.

Our position. Soho Dental Clinic exists as a more personal alternative to high-volume dental tourism. Patients are not package numbers, and they should know who is treating them, why the treatment is needed, what is being placed in their mouth, what the realistic alternatives are, and who will be there afterwards if they need help.
