You are not asked for card details to receive them, and there is no charge if you decide not to go ahead. The examination and CBCT assessment on your first day at the clinic are included in the treatment price for patients who travel to us.

Yes, and it is the quickest way to get a meaningful answer. A photo of a panoramic X-ray on a screen or lightbox is usually readable enough for a first opinion. If you have the original DICOM file from a CBCT or CT scan, email it to info@sohodent.com instead — WhatsApp compresses large files and our surgeons prefer to open the full-resolution data.

Within 24 hours, and usually the same working day if you write during Istanbul hours. Messages sent overnight or at the weekend are answered first thing on the next working morning. If your case needs a surgeon's opinion before we can plan it, your coordinator tells you that straight away rather than leaving you waiting in silence.

It depends on the treatment. Implant cases usually run over two visits — around 3 working days for surgery, a healing period at home, then roughly 7 working days for the permanent teeth. Patients return to their country with a fixed set of temporary teeth in 3 days. Crown and veneer cases are typically completed in one visit of 6 to 7 working days. Your written plan states the exact number of days for your case.

Dental implant treatment protocol is the same worldwide: it is handled in two visits. This is mainly due to the surgical healing time your body needs, and the time your bone needs to integrate with the implant completely — a process called osseointegration.

On your first visit we place the implants into your jawbone. Your body then needs time, usually around 3 to 6 months, for the implant to fuse with your bone tissue. This healing step is what decides the long-term success of the treatment.

Think of it like planting a tree. You plant the seed and give it time to take root. Only once the tree is strong and stable can it grow fully and support its branches. Your permanent teeth are added on top of the implants after that process is complete.

The difference comes down to the technique. At Soho we follow a modern, minimally invasive method that avoids excessive surgical trauma to bone and gums. Surgery is performed on the first day and healing caps — also called gingivaformers or healing abutments — are attached, so the hard and soft tissue around the implant heals in the right shape.

Once the healing caps are in place we take your impression and manufacture your fixed temporary teeth, which are attached to the implants with screws. On the third day those temporary teeth are fitted and you can fly home.

Clinics that ask for 10 days generally follow the classic method: the palate is stitched after surgery without healing caps, and implants are usually placed on the seventh or eighth day of the stay. Patients travel home with a removable denture instead. On the second visit the surgical area has to be re-opened to place the healing caps, which adds a further healing period before the permanent teeth can be made.

The classic method also cements the permanent bridge in place rather than screwing it down. Cemented work is harder to retrieve — if one tooth develops a problem later, the whole bridge may have to be sectioned off and remade.

A single dental implant starts from $520. Full mouth All-on-4 and All-on-6 packages start from $5,700 per jaw. Your price is confirmed in writing before you travel. The current treatment price list and treatment packages show the full range.

Your written quote lists exactly what is included for your treatment — the implants or restorations, lab work, and the clinical steps needed to complete it. Any additional procedures your case may require, such as bone grafting, sinus lifting or extractions, are shown as separate line items and are only charged if clinically needed. Nothing is added without being disclosed to you first.

No. Your price is confirmed in writing before travel. The only exception is if an on-arrival CT scan reveals an unexpected clinical issue — which we discuss transparently before proceeding. We do not use bait-and-switch pricing. We include all possible additional charges like grafting, sinus lifting etc. and inform you properly before you travel.

Consultations and treatment plans are completely free with no obligation. If you decide to proceed, a small deposit secures your appointment dates, with the balance settled at the clinic. Your international patient coordinator will explain the exact amount when you book.

We accept major currencies — US Dollars, Euros and British Pounds — and common payment methods including cash and card at the clinic. Contact us for the current accepted methods and any bank-transfer options.

It depends on the treatment. Full-arch packages such as All-on-4 and All-on-6 are priced per jaw (one arch). Single crowns, veneers and fillings are priced per unit / per tooth. Each table on the price list states the unit next to the price so there is no ambiguity.

On treatments over €7,000, yes, with nothing to pay at reception. Rooms are twin or double, so a partner or family member travelling with you shares at no extra room cost; additional rooms are booked at our negotiated rate. Breakfast is covered, other meals are not. If your treatment runs longer than the nights included, extra nights are charged at the same negotiated rate rather than the walk-in price.

Below that threshold, hotel accommodation is arranged according to package conditions rather than included by default. Whichever applies to your case is stated in your written plan before you travel.

Yes. Well-established implant brands carry decades of research and development, strict manufacturing standards and global support networks. That matters years later: if you ever need maintenance or a replacement component, a widely distributed system can be serviced by a dentist in your own country. Lesser-known or very low-cost systems often cannot.

Think of it like buying a car. A trusted international brand gives you confidence that spare parts and service centres exist wherever you go.

The more important variable, though, is the surgeon. Even the best implant brand can fail if it is placed without the right experience — knowing where in the jaw the bone will hold the implant, whether a sinus lift is needed, and at what angle to place each fixture. The difference between Soho and the cheapest Turkish option is typically $1,500-2,000 — that gap pays for certified implants, brand-supported warranty, and the peace of mind that you will not need costly revision surgery.

An abutment is the connector between the implant in your bone and the crown you see. The implant is the root; the crown is the tooth; the abutment joins the two.

You may already have implants placed in your mouth, and abutments are still needed to attach a crown securely. The abutment is what lets the crown sit at the right height and angle, stay stable, and look like a natural tooth.

If your existing implants were placed some time ago by a different provider, new custom abutments may still be needed so that they match the crown design produced by our partner laboratory and suit your bite.

All-on-4 uses 4 implants per arch — sufficient for most patients; whether bone grafting is needed depends on the case. All-on-6 uses 6 implants for greater stability, recommended for significant bone loss or stronger bite forces.

Both give you a full arch of fixed teeth. Picture building a bridge: four supports can carry it safely, but where the ground allows, two more add strength and spread the load. Your CBCT scan at the clinic accompanied by a comprehensive examination with your surgeon will decide which is right for you.

Unless the gap needs more than one implant, implants are preferred because they replace the missing tooth without touching the healthy teeth beside it.

A bridge requires shaving down the healthy teeth on either side of the gap so they can carry the replacement tooth in the middle — permanently altering two sound teeth to fix one missing one. An implant leaves them untouched.

Implants also preserve bone. When a tooth is lost the bone underneath begins to shrink. An implant stimulates that bone the way a natural root does, which helps keep your facial structure intact. A bridge does not.

The titanium implant fixture is designed to be permanent. Once osseointegration is complete, it functions as a natural tooth root and can last a lifetime.

The teeth attached on top are replaceable components with a service life of their own, and they depend on daily cleaning and regular check-ups in the same way natural teeth do.

Yes. Before permanent crowns are fabricated, we create a digital smile preview and physical trial restoration. You approve the shape, colour and size before anything is permanently fitted.

Surgery is performed under local anaesthetic — you feel pressure but not pain. IV twilight sedation is also available. Post-operative discomfort is typically mild and managed with provided medications. Most patients report the procedure was far more comfortable than expected.

Expect some swelling and soreness for the first few days, comparable to having a tooth extracted. It is usually strongest in the first 48 hours and then improves quickly. On the day of surgery you will also be given an ice pack to apply in a five-minutes-on, five-minutes-off cycle, which limits swelling.

Three options: (1) Local anaesthetic — standard for most cases; (2) IV twilight sedation — deeply relaxed, minimal memory of procedure; (3) General anaesthetic — available for complex cases or very anxious patients, with an anaesthesiologist present.

Dental implants have been shown to have a very high success rate that is over 95%. It is true that in rare cases, an implant may not heal properly or may fail over time. If that happens, you have no need to worry, it's not the end of the road for you.

If there is such an occurrence during the early healing phase, we remove it, let the area heal, and then plan a second attempt. Bone grafting may be considered further in such procedures.

In most cases, yes. Moderate bone loss is often managed through the angled implant placement of All-on-4/6 and grafting where necessary. Severe bone loss can be treated with zygomatic implants, anchored in the cheekbone. A CT scan determines the best approach.
